TBRA LATE MODELS... Track Info & Setup Advice
NOTE TO
DRIVERS AND TEAMS FROM TIM BAINEY JR
(track owner, nascar truck &
nationwide driver) Regarding Track Information:
"The CNB Bank Raceway Park is a 5/8 mile
track, not 1/2 mile. I want to let guys know what to expect when arriving. I
would NOT say it is similar to Jennerstown, Lake Erie, or Motordrome. It has
very wide sweeping corners, with progressive banking (similar to Iowa, just
smaller).
The track is twice as wide as what
Jennerstown is from apron to wall and has 12 foot of runoff below apron
before any walls (so its very forgiving for spins and avoiding accidents).
It is the Smoothest Track you guys will have ran on, no bumps or ripples,
you will be able to tie those cars down and be fast.
The best estimate we have for a gear is
3.80-4.00, I would say more in the 3.95 area, but if speeds pick up it could
land in the 3.80s. As far as the groove, you can run on the flat bottom and
drift up a little in the middle, or you will be able to run near the middle.
It's a great place as far as setting up passes.
I look forward to seeing everyone, any
questions shoot me an email at t@timjr.com and
I will personally call you back." Thanks- Tim Jr.
